Welcome to our Used Book Sale

- This sale provides a blessing to both the buyer and the seller.
Our sale is conducted on a consignment basis. We are a barcode only used book sale.
To sell your used books, refer to the instructions below on how to register at My Consignment Manager.
Books not properly labeled with barcodes will not be accepted. Set-up and tear-down times are
described below. All books must be picked up no later than 5:00pm on Saturday, June 15th. Any books
remaining after that will be considered abandoned and will be disposed of in whatever manner SEARCH
deems appropriate. Proceeds from abandoned books will be donated to the ongoing work of SEARCH. A
check for the amount you sold, less the consignment fee, will be sent to you within four weeks after the
SEARCH conference. If you have any suggestions or questions, please feel free to contact us.

- Please Remember:
This is curriculum fair, not a yard sale.
You must be registered for the SEARCH fair in order to sell used books and receive
payment.
A separate registration on My Consignment Manager is needed to print sale labels
for your books (see below).
Please be aware of our limited space and sell accordingly.
Set-Up and Tear-Down Times:
You are responsible for Set up and Pick up of your items. We will have some
volunteers available, so please ask if you need help, although there are no
guarantees.
Set-up times are:
Thursday, June 13th, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Friday, June 14th, 8:00 am - 9:00 am and anytime after 1:00 pm
Saturday, June 15th, anytime
Tear-Down:
**All items must be picked up between 4:00 and 5pm Saturday, 6/15**
If your items are not picked up by this time we will assume that they are
abandoned. You will not receive any money for abandoned books. SEARCH
reserves the right to do what we want with abandoned books.
Fee Schedule:
If your sales are:
$500.00 or less = 15% fee
$500.00- $1,000.00 = 20% fee
$1,000.00 or more = 30% fee
The fees collected will go toward furthering the work of SEARCH. A portion of the
proceeds is used for our Drew Scholarship Fund. Our Used Book Sale has been
able to bless many families with scholarships.
Payment:
You will receive a check for your sold items (less the consignment fee),
approximately four weeks after the sale.
- Barcode Label Procedures:
1. ‣ Click on My Consignment Manager to Register for Used Books and get Barcode Labels
for your items. All items need a barcode label from this system or they cannot be sold. We are
using My Consignment Manager in order to produce labels. The system is easy to use and
helps with the speed and accuracy of the sales. The tags are good from one year to another
(please see info on My Consignment Manager to move tags from one year to the next).
2. ‣ Sets: Each item must have a label. The top book will have the priced label on the
outside, while all other items in the set will have a $0.00 priced tag on the inside. This can be
done with the barcode program (please see info on My Consignment Manager). Sets must be
rubber banded together. Rubberband in both directions in order to keep sets from coming
apart.
3. ‣ Tape all labels on the INSIDE cover of ALL books (except sets-- see above
explanation). Labels easily fall off when placed on the outside of a book. Items other than
books may be tagged on the outside.
4. **** IMPORTANT LABEL ATTACHMENT INFORMATION ****
Please place 2 small pieces of tape on the two ends only (right and left sides).
DO NOT TAPE ON ALL FOUR SIDES!!!
Do NOT cover the barcode with tape! We will not be able to scan them. Too much tape
makes it hard to remove the labels (which slow down our checkout lines).
